For Senior Pastors and Key Men’s Ministry Leaders (Staff and Volunteer)
On May 20, 2008 the High Desert Men’s Summit Board of Directors hosted a "standing room only" evening of connection, fellowship, prayer and focus on regional Men's Ministries at Cafe Sintra in downtown Bend, OR. We were humbled and gratified by the outpouring of support from over 90 leaders from 34 churches who attended. In addition, the massive encouragement and prayer we received from those pastors whose schedule precluded their attendance was tremendous!
HDMS is a non-profit, inter-denominational, event-based, lay-led Christian men's ministry. Our purpose is to support local pastors and churches, build unity and connect, strengthen, encourage and equip disciples - in furtherance of the mission, vision and objectives of their home churches.
The primary purposes for the Dinner was:
- To thank pastors and men's leaders and acknowledge the work you are doing in the lives of Central Oregon men. We wanted to express our deepest appreciation for what you as spiritual leaders continually pour into our lives.
- To share men’s ministry success stories .
- To discuss the upcoming Men’s Summits on September 13, 2008 and February 27-28, 2009, so that these events can provide the maximum support to you and your church.
Thank you to those who attended and to those who sent their prayers and support. We appreciated the chance to share your victories in men’s ministry and to explore how the High Desert Men’s Summit can support you and the men of your church in your fulfilling your Kingdom work.
